When new springs are installed on your vehicle, reusing the existing U-bolts could create a potentially dangerous situation. This XGS U-bolt is 14 x 62 x 180mm with a square top (B) and should be used when upgrading to TJM leaf springs. If the original U-bolt is reused the pitch of the thread may be stretched, which can cause the U-bolt nut to loosen, thereby causing the spring pack to become loose. We highly recommend replacing U-bolts when new springs are installed. TJM XGS U-bolts are matched in length to our XGS leaf spring range to accommodate the increased spring stack height.
